The Lord is MY Shepherd...Is He YOURS??

The 23rd Psalm is one of the most beloved scriptures.
This psalm has been an inspiration and a motivation to Christians.

We have included personal renditions of Psalm 23.
Maybe you have one that you would like to share.

Psalm 23 The LORD Is My Shepherd . KJV  A Psalm of David.

 1. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
 2.  He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.
 3. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness
     for his name's sake.

 4. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff,
     they comfort me.

 5. You prepare a table before me  in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;  my cup overflows.
6. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD  forever.

     Personal Rendition

The Lord is my shepherd..I shall not want.

The lord makes me to lie down in green pastures.

The Lord leads me beside the still waters..

The Lord restores my soul.

The Lord leads me in the paths of righteousness

for The Lord's name sake.

Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil..

for The Lord is with me..

The Lord's rod and staff comforts me.

The Lord prepares a table before me in the presence of mine enemies..

The Lord anoints my head with oil..

my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,

and I will dwell in The Lord's house forever and ever..

Amen

I like to use The 23rd Psalm to pray for others.

This may be a family member, a friend, a stranger or a person with whom I've had a disagreement.

The Lord is Steve's shepherd, Steve shall not want.

The Lord allows Steve to lie down in green pastures,

The Lord leads Steve where the waters are still.

The Lord will restore Steve's soul.

The Lord will lead Steve in paths of righteous so that the Lord will be glorified.

The Lord will lead Steve through dark valleys and Steve will not fear.

Because the Lord will be with Steve and the Lord's rod and staff gives Steve comfort.

The Lord will prepare Steve a table in the presence of those who trouble him.

The Lord will anoint Steve so that his cup will over flow.

Surely goodness and mercy will follow Steve all the days of Steve's life.

Steve will dwell in the Lord's house forever.

Amen

There are times, as I struggle to sleep, that I repeat the 23rd psalm and pray for people and situations. It is a source of peace, encouragement and strength. (Steve)
